I am so excited to share 5 Activities to do in your special education classroom for St. Patrick’s Day!
Activity #1: DIY Task boxes
I love making my own DIY task boxes for each holiday using materials I already have. DIY task boxes are great because they are new and exciting to students and you can tailor them directly for the skills needed at the time! You can read how I made my March DIY task boxes in this blog post.
Activity #2: Digital File Folders
Whether you are in person, remote, or hybrid, digital file folders are a great option! I love how digital file folders mimic the real thing but reduce students sharing materials. You can try out one free digital file folder for March by signing up for my email list here.
Activity #3: Social Stories and Special Day Schedules
I always try to support my students with visual schedules and social stories before a holiday/ special event/ or schedule change. This resource is perfect for that!
Activity #4: Read Alouds
You know I LOVE to share about picture books you can use with your students… and this month is no different! These books are perfect for the month of March of St. Patrick’s Day. I can’t wait for you to read these to your students!
Activity #5: Free Task Boxes
Hands on learning is the best kind of learning- and these are my favorite. You can grab this free St Patricks day 4 pack for March here!
I hope these St. Patrick’s day activities and they give you some ideas for your March lesson planning!
Happy teaching!
