Cause and effect toys are fun, engaging and challenging. Some examples of cause and effect toys are toys with buttons, musical toys and pop up type toys. These types of toys are used to teach pretend play, vocabulary, requesting, fine motor skills, problem solving, decision making, and so much more!
Students quickly pick up that pushing a button or even using sign language to request “more bubbles” gets them what they want. The goal is to teach students that their actions cause cause something to happen. Do you use cause and effect toys in your classroom?
