September Visual Craft Ideas

Fall is finally around corner! Here are some cute, fun craft ideas for Autumn. Your students will love creating these colorful crafts. These crafts are great for the September, October, and November months. I love the first day of school bus craft. It is absolutely adorable. Click here to for these September/Fall Visual Craft Templates. All of these templates include step-by-step instructions and a recommended list of materials. This makes it so simple!

First Day Picture Bus

Parents will go wild for this one! Have your students color the school bus template. Cut out the bus and cut out a picture of the student. Glue the student picture into the first bus window. With a black Sharpie write “First Day”, student grade and school year. Then add the craft sentence, “It is my first day of school”.

Handprint Tree Craft

This is a simple cute craft that is great for students as young as preschool and as old as 4th graders. You’ll need paint, paper, and Q-tips. Simply paint the student’s hand to make the tree branches with their handprint. Use a Q-tip to make dots in a variety of fall colors. Boom, just like that you have a cute little fall tree.

Leaf Suncatcher Craft

Sticking with the changes of the leaves theme, this is very pretty. Cut out the leaf from the leaf template. Stick the leaf on top of contact paper, sticky side up. Cover the leaf in small squares of cut up tissue paper. Be sure to use fall colors! Place another piece of contact paper on top of of the leaf, sticky side down. Cut out the leaf and add the craft sentence.

Apple Basket Stamping

Nothing says September like apples! Start by cutting an apple in half. Take out the seeds and set aside. Paint the flat part of the apple and use it as a stamp. Stamp the paper all over. Weave a paper basket. Once your apples are in the basket you can go back and glue the apple seeds onto the apples and draw stems with a marker. Fill in the craft sentence “You are the apple of my eye”.

These September crafts are great! I love holiday crafts as well, especially Halloween! So if you are like me and love classroom crafts, check out this blog for October ideas!
