As Easter approaches, the air is filled with the promise of springtime, and new task boxes are ready to be used. In special education classrooms, this season offers a unique opportunity to infuse learning with the joy and wonder of the holiday through Easter-themed task boxes. These task boxes are not only a fun and engaging way to celebrate the season but also serve as powerful educational tools, fostering skill development and promoting independence in diverse learning environments.

I LOVE sorting activities. Why? They are so easy to differentiate! For a more advanced student, you can have them use both mats and start with nothing on the mats.
For a student who cannot yet read, you can start with one visual prompt on each mat. How? Just leave one piece on each- simple!
For a student who needs errorless tasks- just give one mat at a time.
For a student who can only sustain attention for a minute or two. Start with the board half full so they do not become frustrated.
For a student with fine motor difficulties- the larger the velcro pieces the easier to attach to the mat.
I love that this one has baskets that look different, this is great for learning nonidentical matching!
