Independent work libraries are a HUGE part of helping your students become independent learners and creating a classroom environment that runs smoothly. It’s a win win for everyone because students are becoming more independent and teachers are freed up!
I love any task that I can quickly prep, pull, and clean up. Sorting mats are a huge win for this! You can easily prep these and place in a work box for students to use independently, glue them into a file folder for a file folder activity, or hole punch and place in a binder! SO many different ways to use them!
To make this task errorless, just give students one mat with all the correct answers! This increases motivation, confidence, and of course independence!
