How to Use Sight Word Flip Cards

Sight words are a super common goal for our students- and we need a variety of materials to target that goal to make it stick! Today’s post is on how to use sight word flip cards in your classroom!

These flip cards can be used in a variety of ways. They print in black and white so it makes it easy to color code by level.

You can put each level on a ring… or you can have a ring for each students. If you choose the student route, you can have a ring for the students new words, and another ring for maintenance words. This makes it super easy to grab and go for practice or discrete trials.

The cards don’t take up a lot of space, you can hang the rings on a bulletin board or keep them in a small container inside a desk.

I’ve received a ton of feedback that parents LOVE to have a set of these to use with their child at home too! Laminating the cards will make them long lasting… the ones pictured here have been in use since 2014!

Students will love the fun colors of these cards! These were printed on astrobrights paper (affiliate link here). With cardstock and lamination they will last forever!
