Let’s Learn About Shapes!

Even at the elementary level my students still have difficulty with matching and identifying shapes. Sure they can identify a circle and square, but when it comes to determining what shape a common object is… this skill gets a bit more difficult.

Teaching Shapes in the Autism Classroom

I have created adapted books to target this skill! This bundle includes TEN adapted shape books that will reach learners at all levels! (and are perfect for targeting those pesky state testing goals)

Shapes Adapted Books

Simply match the shape to the “real object”. Students must choose the right size, which is another  target skill! A variety of objects are included throughout the books, and core vocabulary is used.

Learning shapes in this way is often overlooked. It is so important for students to be able to identify what will fit into what container and to discriminate between objects when they enter the workforce later. It may seem basic- but it is a life skill!
