If you have been following me long, you know that it is my passion for students to have access to an independent work library. You can read all about setting one up here.
Independent work libraries are a HUGE part of helping your students become independent learners and creating a classroom environment that runs smoothly. It’s a win win for everyone because students are becoming more independent and teachers are freed up!
Today’s free resource for your independent work library is a clothing match! I love these bright colored images that are very CLEAR what the clothing is.
Students can match picture to picture or picture to word depending on their level!
These cards are easy to store in a shoe box, small plastic container, or plastic bin in your independent library. I love that they are evergreen… meaning they are not seasonal and good for any time of year!
The opportunity to move up a level by starting students at matching picture to picture, then adding in words, gives room to grow!

HOW TO COLLECT DATA:
Use data sheets to track student task box data! Using these sheets can track student independence, start and end times, student bins (which they are able to complete) and needs for prompting.
