Yes, it’s true. It takes years to build a system this elaborate, but it doesn’t have to be as complicated as you think. Simple tasks in boxes are all you need to build student independence, not pretty boxes and tasks. Student independence is the goal and your students don’t care how big your collection is.

+ Keep full page sorting sheets

+ Cut into strips for 3 each for quicker sorts

+ Tape into file folders for file folder tasks

+ Bind into a book to keep together

+ Add velcro to the back to store pieces
