Simple Fine Motor Centers

I am so excited to introduce Simple Fine Motor!

Simple Fine Motor is a new center based resource that works to build independence and accuracy in fine motor skills for the students in your classroom. The skills in the set will work on hand strength, finger strength, tool grasping, fine motor coordination, hand eye coordination, and visual acuity.

The best part about Simple Fine Motor? It includes a set of visual directions with REAL pictures for each task. Yes, real pictures! Over the past year I have been including more and more real pictures into my resources and seeing huge results and hearing about how well it works from all of you! (you can find more real picture resources here!)

The visual directions show a short written direction and 3 large pictures of how to complete each task. Having visual directions for a task increases student independence and decreases your need for verbal prompting!

I set up each of the 12 tasks in a scrapbook sized bin, and used the labels for the side and the top, so you can see it from the top and when stacked. I attached the visual directions to the cover of the bin when you open it. I enjoy the size of these bins because they easily fit all the materials with extra room, but allow space for the student to set up the task and complete it.

The materials used in each bin were mostly found on amazon, but I’m almost positive you will have almost all of the materials in your classroom closet! Here is my amazon list of materials I used, in case you were wondering!

When you purchase the resource, you will receive a teacher guide. This will walk you through how to set it up, include a list of materials, but most importantly…. it will give you TONS of tips on how to differentiate for different students!

If you are interested in purchasing this resource from my TPT store, you can find it here!

If you are interested in what other teachers are saying about Simple Fine Motor, you can check out below!

Regina M. said:I love these fine motor task boxes! They will make a perfect center for my self contained classroom!

Carly J. said:Wonderful independent center for my kids to work on fine motor! Love being able to have it prepped and ready to go at all times and I love the variety!

I would love to see pictures of this resource in your classroom! Share on instagram and tag @SimplySpecialED in your photos so I can see them!
