Fall Comprehension Cards

Comprehension is a tough goal to teach! Quick and easy comprehension resources that are differentiated are hard to find! THEMED comprehension resources that meet all student needs are even harder to find! Read on to find out how these simple cards can transform your comprehension routine.

If you have read my blog before, you know comprehension goals are a passion of mine! Comprehension IS a LIFE SKILL. We have to know how to comprehend WH questions in order to interact in the world appropriately. Most of my students had comprehension goals for this reason, which meant I needed lots of leveled resources. I also LOVED to teach on theme, the vocabulary is so rich and so relevant to the world around our students.

Using real pictures is another passion of mine. It is so important for our students to see REAL pictures of kids, adults, the environment, and more in order to fully comprehend questions. YES, there is a place for symbols in our world… and that’s why those are also used in this resource!

This resource includes 3 levels. WHY? Because one size does not fit all in our classrooms. The field of answers is a big requirement for IEP goals so I included a variety of that. I also tried to support readers and non readers.

The three levels make it easy to progress a student as they become proficient. It also allows for students to use this resource in the independent setting in a task box. Independent work is a huge part of student learning in this setting, and having multiple boxes for different student makes less work for the teacher and more success for the student.

Comprehension Task Cards with REAL PICTURES FALL are perfect for your task boxes! With 150 task cards in 3 levels, you will be able to watch your students progress and achieve their goal at every level!

WHAT ARE THE LEVELS?

+ Level 1: Picture response, field of 2

+ Level 2: Picture response, field of 3

+ Level 3: Word response, field of 3

HOW CAN I USE THE CARDS?

+ Clip Cards (use a clothespin)

+ Dry Erase

+ Point

I know this resource will make your comprehension routine quick and easy! The more resources you have to support student goals and generalize them the better! These are grab and go and easy prep! Wins all around!
