End of Year Checklist for Your Classroom

It is that time of the year! Time to start preparing to end the year! Let’s make it simpler with an end of year checklist for your classroom!

What is an End of Year Checklist?

It is pretty simple. An end of year checklist is a list of everything you need to complete before finishing the year. Some items on your checklist may vary depending on the requirements of your school or district. You can grab a FREE end of year checklist here to get started!

When Should I Start my Checklist?

This will depend on what your district or school requires, but typically I start my checklist a month before school is over. This give ample amount of time to complete all the items on the list! Don’t feel stressed waiting until the last day, give yourself plenty of time!

Consider all areas of your classroom that need to be cleaned up and put away!

What is on the List?

Here are some examples of things you’ll find on the FREE end of year checklist:

  • Put away curriculum materials
  • Pack up toys and play items
  • Get student files in order
  • Pack up student personal items to send home
  • Purge unused, old, or broken items and materials
  • Plan professional development for the following year
  • Pack up and label materials
  • Gather ESY materials for students attending
