Sorting Activities for Independent Work

Independent work is a crucial skill to teach our students in special education! Sorting activities are a great place to start! These are some great sorting activities for independent work!

Real Picture Number Sorting

The Real Picture Sorting Activities resource has TONS of sorting practice. One of the activities included are number sorts. Practice number sorting, non-identical matching, and counting skills with this activity! You can make this as simple or as complex as your students need. For beginning independent workers, give them just one sorting mat and the correct pieces so they can complete this as an errorless learning activity.
