Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 to October 15 each year in the United States. During Hispanic Heritage Month we recognize the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements for the United States.

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote this book about how differences make you, you! I love that she focuses on the celebration of differences and abilities in this book! Many of your students will relate to the characters and illustrations.

PEPE and the PARADE BY TRACEY KYLE
In this book your students will join Pepe as he celebrates his Mexican-American heritage and participates in a Hispanic Heritage Day parade. Children will enjoy seeing the many Hispanic cultures proudly honored in this book- plus the illustrations are beautiful!
