Visuals for Success

Visuals for success webinar update

I hope that you were able to join me for the Visuals for Success Webinar that was hosted by TPT in Boston (with a live audience, too!) this week- and if you were, I was able to sift through many of the questions asked afterwards and hope to answer them here!

Visuals for student success in special education

(if you have not yet viewed the webinar, you can view it anytime, here)

Where do you get the materials to make visuals?

Here is a list of ((includes some affiliate)) links to materials I LOVE and USE every day to make visuals in my classroom:

Feiner Supply Velcro: You have to buy in bulk, and hook and loop comes separate- but it is SO WORTH IT.

Lamination: I swear by the amazon brand. Cheaper than Scotch, more expensive than a couple others, but those will peel SO QUICK. This stuff lasts FOREVER.

Paint Sticks: FREE at Home Depot or Lowes- just tell them you are a teacher and they’ll give you a bigger stack!

Clear dry erase pockets: Great for when you don’t have time to laminate, but want to reuse.

Binder Rings: You can use these to store things on the wall + create visual rings.

Lanyards: You can use these to store visuals for mobile token boards.

Dry Erase Markers: These ones are easy to carry, add velcro and keep it around your neck on a lanyard.

Veltex: The fabric I use to store visuals. You can learn how to DIY a veltex board, here.

Task Boxes: Grab task boxes in bulk here.

Card stock: I prefer this brand.

Where can I find the visuals I saw in the webinar?

Here are just a few of the visuals we highlighted in our presentation. Click the image to grab the visual!

Kara from Teaching Differently, has many great visuals in her TPT store as well! A bunch are FREE, including the portable token board found at the end of this post! I love how she uses binder rings so effectively in her classroom to store visuals! Make sure to check out her blog for tons of photos!

Where can I find the free downloads mentioned in the webinar? (click the picture to download):
